Biography

Charles Shaw-Stewart is a member of Clan Stuart of Bute.

The Reverend Charles Robert Shaw-Stewart was born on 9 July 1856. He was the son of Sir Michael Robert Shaw-Stewart (7th Baronet of Greenock and Blackhall) and his wife Lady Octavia Grosvenor. He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts Degree. He was the Rector at Cowden, Kent, England. He died on 28 February 1932 at age 75.

Marriage

On 2 January 1890 The Rev Charles married Ida Fannie Caroline Afken, daughter of H. W. Afken.
