Biography
Richard was born in Pennsylvania in 1805.[1] He married Margaret Wheeler on 24 May 1830 at Ross County, Ohio.[2] They appear to have been the parents of at least four children. He died in 1850.[1]
In 1840 Richard Sheplar was living at Green Township, Ross County, Ohio with 1 male age 5-9, 1 female under age 5, 1 female age 5-9, 1 female age 10-14 and 1 female age 30-39. Richard was enumerated as age 30-39.[3]
Richard Shepler died of consumption (aka tuberculosis) in March of 1850.[4] On his death record, his profession was listed as "cooper."
