SHIELDS—SKENNAR : A pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Casino, when Thelma, daughter cf Mr. and Mrs. J. Skennar, of Kyogle, was married to Mr. Albert Shields, of Casino. Rev. Fr Murphy officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of white cloqus made on straight classical lines with an uplift nodice and long sleeves. The frock featured a heart-shaped neckline and a long train which was covered by a full length hand embroidered veil. Her headdress was an upstanding halo of leaves and orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white azaleas. Miss Marie Bugden, who was bridesmaid, wore an old gold frock with a draped waistline and long full skirt. She wore a top knot of natural red rosebuds over a short tulle veil, which was covered with silver good-luck charms. Her bouquet was made of pink azaleas. The bride's brother, L.A/C. Kevin Skennar, R.A.A.P., who was on leave from Townsvilie, was best man. Miss Rita Coe, of Lismore, rendered vocal solos at the church and breakfast. Mr. Roger Phelan played the violin and Mrs. W. Murphy officiated at the organ. The wedding reception was held at the Masonic Hall, where the guests were received by the bride's mother, Mrs. J. Skennar, and Mrs. E. E. Anderson, a friend of the bridegroom. Mrs. Skennar wore a black beaded frock with accessories to match and & artificial multi-coloured posy. Mrs. Anderson chose a blue frock relieved with white and matching accessories. Rev. Fr. Relihan presided at the breakfast, which was also attended by Fr. Murphy. The honeymoon is being &pent at Murwillumbah and Townsville. For traveling Mrs. Shields wore a to mato shade suit with black accessories.
