She married Marion Isaac Franklin Sweeton 19 Feb 1919 in Grundy County, Tennessee.[2]
They were the parents of Nina Marie Sweeton b 1919, Alice Sweeton b 1920, James Arnold Sweeton b 1921, Inez Novella Sweeton b 1923 and Cedric Waldon Sweeton b 1925.
In 1920 Virgie was age 17. She and Marion had an infant daughter, Alice.[3]
Virgie married Monroe Roberts 8 Dec 1929 in Grundy County.[4]
In 1930 Vergie and Monroe Roberts were living in Grundy County with her son Cedric Sweeton, age 4 and infant son Earnest Roberts.[5]
Monroe Roberts, Sr. and wife Vergie were living in Grundy County in 1940. Children were James A (Sweeton) Roberts age 18; Inez (Sweeton) Roberts age 16; Cedric (Sweeton) Roberts age 14 and Monroe Roberts Jr. age 10.[6]
