Mary Sims was born about 1755, probably in Louisa County, Virginia. She is the daughter of Edward Sims and Elizabeth Duke. Edward Sims gives permission for her marriage.[1]
Mary married John Mayfield, 23 Feb 1773, in Bute (later Warren), North Carolina.[2][3]
The legatees of Edward Sims are identified in a Quit Claim dated, 15 Nov 1794, when they sell land from their father's estate to John Mayfield (their brother-in-law).
