Ian Andrew Sinclair was born at Coolamon, NSW, on the 22nd of August, 1903.[1] He was the son of David Sinclair and Clara Georgina Eleanor Aslin.
He married Elen Winifred (Winnie) Watt at the Nowra Presbyterian Church on the 19th of February, 1935.[2][3][4] Their only child, Roslyn, was born in 1938. She was disabled due to a birth injury.
Ian enlisted at Coolamon in 1940 when he was 37 years old. At the time he had been working as a shop assistant to an ironmonger.[5] He was discharged 7th August 1943 due to shell shock (PTSD).
Ian died at Nowra on the 29th of November, 1984,[6] and was buried in the Nowra General Cemetery.[7]
