The daughter of Duncan Sinclair (1752-1833) and Sarah Hannah Templeton (1757-18137), Sarah was born in Pennsylvania around 1791. She married Joseph Marshall around 1810. Their children included:

They made their home in Mount Morris, in Livingston County, New York. Joseph passed away in 1849 and Sarah headed the household, with help from her adult children still at home.[1][2][3] She passed away in 1864 and is buried at Dutch Street Cemetery in Livingston County.[4]
