William was born in 1791. The 1850 census gives his place of birth as Kentucky.[1]
William could be in his own household by 1820, Estill County. While William married Miriam Noland in 1828, the 1820 census shows him with a wife in his same age group.[2][3]
Children of William and Miriam are:
James b. 1833
John b. 1835
Henry b. 1837
Nathan b. 1840
Elizabeth b. 1843
Amanda b. 1846
The 1850 census shows that William and Marion are still in Estill, KY. There is also a Nancy McIntosh, age 30, listed in the h/h. It is not known if she is related, but her burial information gives her information as having been married twice, to a John McIntosh and to Joshua Abney. Maiden name is Wilson. [4]
William Skinner died in 1863. It is not known, at present, where he is buried.
