Biography

Noah Slay was enumerated as son at Sulphur, Miller County, Arkansas for the June 19, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as born 1872 in Arkansas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Moses Slay, wife Georgan Slay, son Henry Slay, daughter Ginney Slay, daughter Ever Slay, daughter Cora Slay, daughter Mary Slay and other Angeline Slay.^[1]

Noah A Slay was enumerated as head of the household at Justice Precinct 1, Tyler County, Texas for the May 7, United States Census, 1910. He was noted as born 1874 in Louisiana and had been married eight years. He was an engineer (locomotive) and a renter as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Zillan A Slay, daughter Alline Slay and boarder Alta Lott.^[2]

Noah O Slay was enumerated as head of the household at Precinct 2, Anderson County, Texas for the April 4, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1872 in Arkansas and married. He was first married at the age of thirty-one. He was a renter as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Zella Amy Slay, daughter Hulleane Slay and granddaughter Meryle Ford.^[3]
