Biography

Can anyone add more information about this family?

Are they linked to the Nottingham, Smith's, (connected to lace industry) who settled in New Zealand in the 1860s - James SMITHs family (natives of Nottingham) were French refugees after the revolution - as lace makers they had to leave France.

Smith is a common surname - but were the Simpkin and Smith families linked back in Nottingham before each family decided to make Paparoa their new home?

Hannah was born about 1800. She passed away in 1882.
