Maida was born in 1915. She was the daughter of Robert Smith and Kathleen Gardner. She lived with her parents and siblings in Ogdensburg, Saint Lawrence, New York in 1915[1] and 1920.[2] They lived in Oswegatchie, Saint Lawrence, New York in 1930.[3]
Maida married Frank S Hooper on 12 Oct 1936 in Ogdensburg. They had four children. They lived in Ogdensburg in 1940[4] and in Lisbon, Saint Lawrence, New York in 1950.[5]
