The will of Thomas Ballard Smith was written on 30 August 1776, with a codicil written on 6 October 1777. It was proved in Louisa, Virginia on 12 January 1778. Family members named are his wife Ann, his son William Smith, his daughters (all under age) Anne, Caty, Susanna, Sally and Roseana Smith, his sister Susanna Fox, his niece Caty Fox, and his grandsons Thomas Ballard Wyatt, Francis Wyatt and John Wyatt.[1]
