[7] In 1920, he lived with his wife and son Charles and daughter Doris Evans and her family in Somerville, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[8] In 1930, he and his wife were living in Stoneham, Middlesex, Massachusetts with their son Charles and his wife. [9] By 1940, the couple was living in Andover, Essex, Massachusetts with their daughter Madeline Slate and husband. [10] In 1950, the couple was residing in a nursing home in Medford, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[11]
Walter registered for the World War I draft in September 1918 in Somerville, Middlesex, Massachusetts. At the time, he was working as a chauffeur for the Revere Rubber Company in Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[12]
Walter died in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts, on April 23, 1957, at the age of 81.[13]
