William was born about 1790. He passed away before his burial on 13 Dec 1850.
He attended Trinity College, Cambridge from 1809 graduating with a BA in 1813 and an MA in 1816. Thereafter he was ordained as a priest at Norwich on 18 Dec 1814 and served in the following positions in the Church:
William Smith was born in about 1791. His age in the 1841 census would put his birth year at 1792-6, but his age in the death and burial records would put it at 1790. According to the 1841 census he was not born in Norfolk; he is likely to have been born in England but this is only a guess.
William was admitted to Trinity College, Cambridge on 27 Apr 1809. He received his BA in 1813. He was ordained as an Anglican priest on 18 Dec 1814, and received his MA in 1816. He was rector of Brome and Oakley, Suffolk from 1819-1821.
William was vicar of East Tuddenham with Honingham, Norfolk from 1831-1850.
William married Mary Crawshay in about 1835.
William and Mary's daughter Mary was christened on 22 Jul 1836 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[1]
Their daughter Agnes Laura was christened on 28 Sep 1837 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[2]
Their son William Henry was christened on 9 Jan 1839 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[3]

Their daughter Clara Ann was christened on 27 May 1841 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[5]

Their daughter Catherine was christened on 17 Apr 1843 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[7]
Their daughter Emma was christened on 4 Sep 1844 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[8]
Their daughter Caroline Louise was christened on 24 Sep 1845 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[9]
Their son Richard was christened on 6 May 1847 in Honingham, Norfolk.[10][11]
Their daughter Isabel was christened on 3 Feb 1849 in East Tuddenham, Norfolk.[12][13]
William died on 7 Dec 1850, aged 60, and was buried on 13 Dec 1850 in East Tuddenham. The burial record describes him as "William Smith Vicar", and gives his residence as East Tuddenham.
William and Mary's son Richard was mentioned in Alumni Cantabrigiensis with the date 1865, presumably when he either entered or graduated from Cambridge.
