Is a teacher. Writes: "For the three years following graduation I was a student in the Harvard Graduate School, tutoring in entrance subjects in the summers. I took my Master in Arts degree in 1908; in 1907-08, and 1908-09, I held a Whiting Fellowship in the division of physics, and in 1909-10 I was Tyndall Scholar. I have not taken my doctor's degree, though I still live in hopes. In 1907-08 and 1908-09 I was a Proctor in college house 17, and in 1909-10 in Perkins 60.
"I have been an instructor in physics in the University of Kansas since 1910, and am an associate member of the American Physical Society."[3]
