Daisy Beatrice Smith (married name Southern) was born in 1892 in Pyramid Hill, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Ellen Ann (Plant) Smith and Charles Daniel Smith.^[1]

She married Frederick Southern in 1919 in Cohuna, Victoria.^[2] They had three children,^{[citation needed]} including:

• Alan Southern (1922–2002)^[3]

Daisy died in 1982 in New South Wales, Australia. ^[4] Her remains were buried at the Cohuna Cemetery in Victoria.^[5]
