Biography

Richard was born about 1730 and was a Merchant in Drogheda.

Richard may be the son or grandson of Brett Smith. A record exists for a Brett Smith and Sarah Smith of Stephen Street for a baptism in 1704 .[1]

Another item in 1705 appears to refer to the death of this Brett Smith. [2]

Is it another ancestor a Richard Smith who appears as the Mayor of Drogheda in 1702. [3]
