Margaret (Snaile) Scott married secondly, Batson Whitehurst was born circa 1670, in Lower Norfolk county, Virginia, a son of Richard Whitehurst and Margery Nichols. Children of Margaret and Batson include:

- Lisha Whitehurst, born 1700
- Hillary Whitehurst, born 1705, died 1 Jul 1796
