Philomena Snyder was born Thursday, February 10, 1853, the daughter of German born Frank Snyder and Rose Rorsheneck. In 1872 she married Bernard Frederick Schauer. According to the Monday, April 23, 1934, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Mrs. Philomena Schauer, 81, of 621 Avery Street, who fell in her home last October breaking her left hip, was found dead in bed yesterday of hypostatic pneumonia. She had passed away on Thursday, April 19, 1934.

Requiem high mass will be sung Monday at 9:15 a.m. at St. Mary's Church for Mrs. Marcella Schauer Rosenthal of North Side. Mrs. Rosenthal died Thursday in Mercy Hospital. She lived at 621 Avery St. and was one of the founders and treasurer of the St. Vincent Auxiliary. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Grundler; a son, Robert Rosenthal; two brothers, Bernard and Lee Schauer; and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Northart and Miss Minnie Schauer. Friends are being received at the William Pappert and Son Funeral Home, 600 Nash St. Burial will be in St, Mary's Cemetery.

Married Flora Louise Beilstein in 1915 in Bellevue Boro, Allegheny Co., PA
In late 1920's moved to Brooklyn, Kings Co., New York. In both Pittsburgh and New York City he worked as a steel company clerk. In New York it was as a clerk for the Crucible Steel Company of America in the Chrysler Building.

MARY ELIZABETH TRYON 9.357a, daughter of Ira D. Tryon 8.349h and Leona (Pugh) Tryon, born in Decker IN Jun 16, 1911 and died 1998 in Pittsburgh, PA. She married Leo Schauer (born in 1896 and died July 29, 1963); they had no children. She worked for some years as an office manager for a Pittsburgh doctor. Leo Schauer was a food store manager and a guard for the Federal Reserve System.

Married to Paul Raymond Northart who passed away at the age of 91 on August 17, 1977 in Simi Valley, CA. They lived for many years as they raised their two children, Paul Raymond Northart III and Blanche P. Northart, at 581 Crystal Drive in Mount Lebanon, PA. [edit]
