Biography

Birth

Margaretha Sohl was born about 1710 in Bellheim, located within the German state Rhineland-Palatinate. [1] Her parents were Johannes Sohl and Maria Magdalena Speichermann. [2] [3] Margaretha was a resident of Bellheim.

Marriage

On January 26, 1734, Margaretha Sohl and Johann Martin Leingang were married in Otterstadt. It was a catholic service. [4] His parents were Johannes Jodocus Leingang and Anna Barbara Greiner. The witnesses were Henry Hörner (a "molitor" builder or miller) and Stephan Treber both from Bellheim.
Martin and Margaretha had two children together: [5]
  • Eva Rosina Leingang, 1735 - 1782; [6] and
  • Maria Anna Leingang, 1737 - ??. [7]

Death

Margaretha died in October 1738. She was buried on November 1, 1738. [8] Margaretha's husband Martin remarried to Anna Eva Kopp after her death and had seven children with his second wife.
