Emma Malvina Sorrels[1] was born on December 29, 1882, in Jefferson, Tennessee, the child of William Sorrels and Nancy Denton. She married Homer S Buckbee[2] in 1899, in Grant, Oklahoma. She then married Burr P. Gardner in 1924. She died in May 1976 in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 93, and was buried in Littleton, Colorado.
