CEMETERY NAME:   Benjamin Cemetery

ADDRESS:   West Street, Worthington, Massachusetts,

This cemetery is no longer used but it is maintained by the town. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The earliest surviving marker is May 1772. It is located in the woods just past the intersection of Almon Johnson Road & West Street. The entrance is a pathway on West Street. To reach the cemetery from Rte 112, turn down Kinnebrook Road; at the junction with Curtis Road & Almon Johnson Road take a right on Curtis Road to West Street (Almon Johnson is not a through road without 4 wheel drive). At West Street take a right & go about 8/10th of a mile; the sign for the cemetery is on the left. The cemetery is about 2/10 of a mile in the woods. Please note, Curtis, West & Almon Johnson are dirt roads and are not passable under certain weather conditions or at certain times of the year.
