This is Westons 2nd oldest cemetery embracing 2.5 acres. The first 1.5 acres were purchased by the town from Isaac Jones on Nov. 5, 1789, the remaining acre was purchased from Stephen and Isaac Jones on May 12, 1834.
At least 25 veterans of the Revolutionary war are buried here including Col. Thomas Marshall.
The earliest death date is May 7, 1792. The latest in the 1970s, with only a few newer than that.
The Massachusetts Historical Commission refers to this cemetery in MACRIS as WSN.801 Centre Burial Ground.
This cemetery is referred to as GR5 in the "Vital Records of Weston Massachusetts to the end of the year 1849."
