Comment on DNA Results

The two Gilbert men in this lineage have a paper trail, although not a completely solid one, that indicates they should match the Moses Gilbert descendants in the John Gilbert of Taunton, MA Line. Moses died in Brunswick Co, NC in about 1789, and the patriarch of these other two men is believed to have come from there. Instead, the two descendants Y-DNA tested have a nice 37 marker match with a descendant of William Gause of Brunswick County, and match with another Gause man at 25 markers. And then there's this mention of the two patriarchs in the same deed entry:

With descendants of two different sons of John Wesley Gilbert tested and matching the Gause men, we can confirm the Gause Y-DNA back to John Wesley.
