The Bennehan-Cameron Plantations

Biography

Leathers Plantation in Orange Co, NC, originates with Thomas D. Bennehan who purchased the land from William and Fielding Leathers in 1816.[1] The Cameron Family Papers mentions the Leathers Plantation has pork, meat, and cotton from 1822-1834.[2] The Leathers Plantation was most likely sold before Thomas Bennehan died as it is not listed in his probate inventory in 1847.
