Pleasant Prospect was the residence of John Contee who died in 1839. In his will he gives Pleasant Prospect to his son John and his daughter Margaret.[3]
John Contee's probate inventory also mentioned the Pleasant Prospect Plantation along with the names, ages, and values of the slaves who resided there.[2]
