Biography
Dedication - This page is created in memory of Hanah Robinson as she was the first person that led me to these people. Hanah Robinson was age 3 at the time of this inventory.
William Robinson lived in Madison Co, AL. At his death in 1852 he had more than 100 slaves listed in his probate inventory with their names and ages.[1] They all lived on the Quietdale Plantation.[2] This page was created to help the descendants of the enslaved Robinson peoples to find their family connections.
Slaves
Note - Most of the last names are unknown for these families, and as default the last name of the slave owner, Robinson, has been placed with them. It is known for sure the family of Hanah (see the second family unit) is named Robinson.
These names have been written in the order appeared in the inventory, placing a space between some of the names as they seem to be family units. The very last set was the only group positively identified in the inventory pages as a family.
