History

Richard Woodward (1683-1725) lived on James Island, in Charleston County, South Carolina. His father, Henry Woodward, was one of the first settlers in the Carolina area. Richard received multiple Royal land grants in the Carolinas,[1] and at his death owned property on at least 3 islands in South Carolina.
