1844 - Stewart, GA --- Notice posted by sons, John P & Thos P Bartee

  • Lucinda - between 20 and 30 years of age (born 1814-1824), ran away or stolen about 21 Aug, "was purchased of L. B. Randall, living on the Upstoie, 9 miles from Columbus, on the 15th of January, 1843"
  • Jim - 20 years of age (born about 1824), left the 7th [Oct] , ran away or stolen, left behind his mother and father, and 7 brothers and sisters

1845 (June) - Stewart Co., GA

  • Iverson - age 11 (born 1834), property of Thomas P & John P Bartee levied on, to be sold to satisfy one mortgage fi fa --- apparently not sold, and notice appears 1 year later, see below

  • Iverson - boy, about 14 years old (born 1832), levied on as the property of Thomas P Bartee[3]

  • Pickens - boy, levied on as the property of John P Bartee
