Slaves William, Mahala and her children, and 9 other unnamed slaves are mentioned in the Chancery Case William Appleberry Trustees v Executors of Robert Brown. [1]. Disputed in the case was the disposition of land and slaves of the estate of Robert Brown. Awarded from chancery case:

Martha Patsy's will was written on 2 Sep 1850 and submitted for probate on 28 Oct 1850.[2]

The Mahala's in the two lists are not the same person. The Mahala Brown in the Chancery Case Appleberry v Brown died in 1831. The two William Browns may be the same person. He would have been about 50 at the time of Martha Patsy's death.
