• On 09 May 1831, William Gibson, grantor, of Camden County, Georgia to Archibald Clark and Whipple Aldrich, grantee, of Camden County, Georgia, mortgaged for $6,000.00 the following slaves: Peter, Tom H., Dolly, Nancy, William, Hannah, Thomas, William, Chamout, Henry, Sarah, Charles, Widua, George H., Tom P., Smart, Betty, Judy, Jim, Toney, Amy, Patty, Ruth, Cato, James, John, Eliza, George, Patty, Hera, Mann, Cupid, Phebe, Affy, Molly, George, Mary, Lissy, Dublin. ^[4]

• On 29 December 1841, Whipple Aldrich, grantor to Robert Stafford, grantee, mortgaged the following slaves: Letty and her two children Nancy and Elizabeth; Ben and Hannah and their five children Peter, James, Glasgow, Eliza and Jacob. ^[5]

• On 26 October 1843, Whipple Aldrich, grantor, of Camden County, Georgia to Robert Stafford, grantee, mortgaged for $2,000.00 the following slaves: Betty, William, Alfred and Theodore.^[6]

Slaves Sold or Purchased in Deed Records

• On 10 August 1840, Whipple Aldrich and Benjamin Hopkins, Trustees, purchased the following slaves from John J. Haslam and Margaret C. Miller, grantor: Fanny, Louisa, Harry, Sarah.^[7]

• On 21 or 22 October 1840, Whipple Aldrich, grantee, of St. Marys, Camden County, Georgia purchased from Mary F. Hill, grantor, of Cumberland Island, Camden County, Georgiafor $900.00 the slave Cletus, a carpenter,^[8]

• On 24 January 1843, Whipple Aldrich, grantor, of Camden County, Georgia to George W. Wooley, grantee, of Camden County, Georgia sold for $700.00 the following slaves: Ned, about 27 years-old and his wife Katy, about 40 years-old.^[9]

• On 20 March 1845, Whipple Aldrich, grantor, of Camden County, Georgia to George W Wooley, grantee, of Camden County, Georgia, sold for $900.00 the following slaves: Charlotte, about 19 years-old; her son Joseph, about 19 months-old; Tuesday, about 16 years-old (brother of Charlotte).^[10]

• On 01 November 1845, Whipple Aldrich sold to Samuel Clarke for $450.00 the slave John, about 28 years-old.^[11]
