This is a transcript of the will of Ellin Wynn, widow, of Glyn Fechan in the parish of Llansantffraid Glyn Ceiriog, Denbishire, Wales. Her will was made on 24 November 1707 and was proved on 18 June 1708.

In the name of god Amen the Twenty Fourth day of November in the sixth yeare of the re[ign]
of our soveraigne Lady Ann by the grace of god of Great Britaine France and Ireland Queene defender of the
faith &c And in the yeare of our Lord god 1707 I Ellin Wynn of Glynvechan in the county of Denbigh widow
being sick in body but of good and perfect memory Thanks be to Almighty god and falling to remembrance
the uncertaine state of this transitory life and that all Fiesh must yeild unto death when it shall please
god to Call doe make constitute ordaine and declare this my last will and Testament in maner and forme follow[…]

by the meritts of Jesus Christ I trust and belive assuredly to be saved and to have Full remission and forgive[ness]

elect and chosen and my body to be buried in such place where it shall please my Executor hereafter named
to appoint and now for the settleing of my temporall estate and such goods and chattels and depts as it hath

in the said County of Denbigh gent deceased and nephew and right heire to my late husband Mr Edward Wyn[n]
allso deceased to have and to hould to him the said Thomas Wynn and his heires for ever upon condition neverth[e]

Llangollen vechan in the said County Denbigh gent the sume of Forty shillings Item I devise and give unto Pet[er]
Hughes son of the said Gabriel Hughes all that Croft or quillet of land which I lately purchased of Edward ab Ed[ward?]

shillings a piece Item I give and bequeath to Mary Williams of Ruabon Parish near Pen y Lan the sume of
Forty shillings Item I give and bequeath to Ellin the wife of Edward Lloyd of Llangollen vechan gent the sum[e]

Item I give and bequeath to Ellin Hughes daughter of Gabriel Hughes one Gunea Item I give and bequeath
the sume of Five shillings to be yearly distributed by the Churchwardens of th parish of Llansanffraid
betweene the poorest sort of people Inhabitinge and resideinge within the said parish upon Easter
Eve for ever and my will and Desire is that my Executor hereafter named doe secure the payment
of the said Five shillings to be yearly made in maner Aforesaid as the Church wardens for the time
beinge shall seeme meete and sufficient the First payment to begine and comence upon Easter
Eve next ensueing the day of my decease and soe yearly to continue for ever All

All which said Legacies by me in maner Above men[ti]oned give and bequeathed I doe order
And Appoint my Executor to pay and discharge in the compasse of one yeare next ensueinge
the day of my decease All the rest and residue of my personall Estate as goods Cattell Chattells and
Househould stuff implements of husbandry debts due to me moveables and imoveables of what
nature or kinde soever they be I give and bequeath to Gabriel Hughes and doe lastly nominate
Ordaine and Appoint the said Gabriel Hughes sole Executor of this my last will and Testament
In witness whereof I the said Ellin Wynn to this my last will and Testament being contained in
Three sheets of paper set my hand and seal upon the last sheete thereof on the Twenty fourth day
of November in the year of our lord god 1707
