James was born on 24 Spetember 1825 and baptised on 9 October 1825 in Arngask. He was the son of Philip Spittal and Christian Martin. [1]
He passed away in 1836 age 10 and was buried on 11 July in Markinch Churchyard. "SPITTAL, JAMES (10): son of Philip Spittal in Markinch; 11 July 1836; left side of grandfather, James Spittal, interred 8 Jan 1836 (No 4, 1836) ". [2]
