Biography

She left her family sometime between 1940-1947. Mental illness is suspected, but it is certain that she lived a hard life, losing 5 of her 14 children.

After she left the family, neighbors and the local gov't got involved in taking the daughters out of the family and fostering them with neighbors, some of whom moved to Arkansas.

    Our poker playing may be a bit off key, but if this doesn't make a full house we'd like to see one! Above are the six children of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Tallacksen, 325 Burbank avenue. The oldest of the children is not yet five years old! Left to right, the children are: Harold Ray and Howard Ray (or is it the other way around?), who will celebrate their third birthdays together on March 27; Ralph Benjamin and Evelyn Mae, born last Sept. 29; Harry Albert, who will be five on the 21st of March; and Ruth Marie, who will be two on June 7. Mr. Tallacksen is a rural mail carrier.
