Biography
John William Spurling was born on 30 March 1835 in Randolph County, Missouri, United States, son of Alfred Thomas Spurling (~1804–~1856) and Elizabeth Jane Hamilton (1809–1901).[1]

John and Elizabeth Gibson were married on 14 March 1856 in Randolph.[3] Elizabeth was born on 1 February 1836 in Boone, Washington, Tennessee, United States. They had the following known children:
