Bessie A. (Stahlman) Dinger from the Punxsutawney Spirit

Bessie A. Dinger, of Punxsutawney RD 1, died Tuesday (February 26, 1974) in her home at the age of 79 years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm Thursday in the Schenkmeyer Funeral Home where services will be held Friday at 1 pm.. The rev. N. A. Pearce will officiate and burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. Dinger was born June 12, 1894, in Grange, a daughter of Simon and Annie Mosier Stahlman and was married June 10, 1919, to Harry L. Dinger, who died May 30, 1970. A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Dinger attended the Dora Evangelical Church.

Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Olive) Milburn, Mrs. Herman (Nellie) Huber, Herman and Nelson, all of Erie; Clayton, of Punxsutawney RD 4; Mrs. Robert (Elmira) Daugherty, of Avondale; Mrs. James (Arlene) Rolls, of Painsville, O., and Harold, of Michigan City, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Stahlman, of Punxsutawney RD 4, and two sisters, Mrs. Lynn Haag, of Big Run, and Mrs. Charles Daugherty, of Falls Creek.
