Biography
Frederick Stanton was born in the City of London, England on June 20, 1683 and baptised two days later on June 22, at St. Mary Aldermanbury, in the City of London.[1] He was the son of Nathaniel Stanton and Grace Stare
Frederick married Mary Smith on June 4, 1712 at St. Bride's, Fleet Street. [2]
They had three children who were all baptised at St. Mildred's Poultry, between 1813 and 1824. It appears that Frederick lived all his life in the City of London where he was a glass seller, having completed his apprenticeship with his brother-in-law, Jonathan Clarke[3] He is listed in several Poll Books and Electoral Registers.[4]
Frederick died in September 1764 and was buried at St. Mary, Bromley St. Leonard, on September 21, 1764..[5]
Research Notes
The district referred to as Bromley St. Leonard, is more often known as Bromley by Bow in modern times. It is outside the city in the East End of London. The burial ground is on the site of a former priory.
