Margaret was born in 1856 in Huntley, Carleton, Canada West, the daughter of James Starr and Elizabeth Ebert. She married first, in 1883, to Edward Armstrong Murphy, then second, in 1922, to Mathias Lee. She passed away in 1935 in Los Angeles, California (burial details are currently unknown).
