Joseph married twice:
(1) Mary Humphries in 1884. She died on 2 Dec 1888
Joseph and Mary had the following children:
- Robert James Steele, b. 13 Mar 1885, d. 26 Oct 1954
- David John Steele, b. 19, Mar 1887
- Joseph Wellington Steele, b. 17 June 1885, d. 1 Dec 1889
(2) Sarah Weir in 1892. She died on 15 Oct 1947 [1]
