obituary

Mrs. Rose Treffinger, 86, 412 S. Elm St., widow of William Treffinger, died Wednesday evening at Ball Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Treffinger was born in Bluffton, the daughter of Henry and Louisa Conklin Stegkamper. For the past 50 years she had resided in Muncie.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Ruth Treffinger, Muncie; a son, Karl Treffinger, Indianapolis; a brother, Fred Stegkamper, Bluffton; a sister, Miss Kate Stegkamper, Bluffton; and three grandchildren, Gregg, Bruce and Kara Lynn Treffinger, all of Indianapolis.

Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Meeks Mortuary with Rev. Harm Webber officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove.
