Biography
Sara/Sarah was the daughter of Samuel & Rebecca/Rebekah (Ray) Stevens - her father was killed at the Battle of Bloody Brook when she was only one; Her mother married twice more
Her father's probate record lists his wife, "Rebeckah," as his relict and executrix, and says that Rebeckah "was to pay Sara, the daughter of deceased, 10li. at eighteen years of age or marriage with the mother's consent."
She married first Jacob Phillips, about 1688 at Salem, Essex, MA - parents of Silence & Cornelius
After the death of Jacob, she married James Prince, son of Robert & Sarah (Warren) Prince, about 1693 at Essex, MA
This information about the marriages is believed correct, notwithstanding conflation of them in the Salem VR. Apparently, she was known by her mother's maiden name subsequent to death of both her father and first husband.
Their children were Charity, Sarah, Rebecca, James, David & Jonathan
