Biography
John Stewart was born c1789, the son of John Stuart and Elizabeth Brown of Northesk, New Brunswick[1][2][3]
On 30 Aug 1814 he married Elizabeth McLeod d/o John and Jane McLeod of Point aux Carr, Glenelg Parish, lived in Cassilis, then in Boom Road, North Esk Parish[1][3], and their children included[4][5]
Mary, born circa 1829[4][5], who married William Cain[3][12]
Charlotte, born circa 1832[4], who married George E McLean[3][13]
William, born Feb 4, 1834[4][5], who married Mary Sherrard, and who died July 5, 1874[3][14]
John Stewart died after the 1851 Census, and before 1861[3][4][5]
