Biography

Mary was born in Massachusetts in 1805 to John and Lucretia (Lovejoy) Stickney. It is not known who raised her after her father died in 1818. It appears that most of the children were farmed out to relatives to raise. It is quite possible that Mary was living with her grandmother Rachael Stickney on the 1820 census. Mary never married. She was living with her aunt Mary Farnum Stickney on the 1860 census. She died in North Andover in 1862 and was buried in Second Burying Ground in North Andover.
