Biography

Ruth was born February 28, 1914 in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States. She was the daughter of Hyman Stieglitz and Lena (Falek) Stieglitz.^[1]

In 1920, six year old Ruth lived at 1464 Brook Avenue in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States with his father Hyman (shown as Herman, age 44), mother Lena (age 40), and siblings Samuel (age 21), Solomon (age 16), Louis (shown as Lewis, age 15), and Helen (age 1). Her father and Samuel were button manufacturers.^[2]

In 1925, eleven year old Ruth lived at 1464 Brook Avenue in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States with his father Hyman (shown as Herman, age 43), mother Lena (age 43), and siblings Samuel (age 26), Solomon (shown as Sol, age 22), Louis (shown as Lewis, age 20), and Helen (age 7). Her father was in the dress trimmings business, Samuel was an umbrella importer, Solomon was an engineer at Edison, and Louis was a bookkeeper.^[3]

In 1930, sixteen year old Ruth lived at 1876 Gelman Avenue in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States with his father Hyman (age 55), mother Lena (age 50), and siblings Solomon (shown as Sol, age 26), Louis (shown as Lewis, age 25), and Helen (age 11). Her father was a button manufacturer, Solomon was an engineer at Ediston electric, and Louis worked in an electric supply shop.^[4]

Ruth married Paul Patent November 24, 1935 in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States^[5] and they had at least one child (see Notes).

In 1940, Ruth (age 26) and Paul (age 28) lived at 1755 Clay Avenue in the Bronx, Bronx, New York, United States with their son Aron (age 2). They had apparently lived in Dade County, Florida briefly before returning to the Bronx. Paul was a musician.^[6]

Ruth was living in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States when she died^[7] there March 17, 1980. She was buried in plot Sec J Lot 207 of the Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, Montgomery, Pennsylvania, United States.^[1]
