Jean Etta Stiles was born on July 8, 1914 in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of Silas Moody Stiles (1876–1944) and Etta Lavilla Smith (1881–1959).
Her siblings were:
Jean (22) married Hartley Cecil Northrup (49) (born on March 18, 1887 in Belle Isle, Kings, New Brunswick, Canada) on December 2, 1936 in Amherst.
Jean died in 1971, aged 56. She was buried in Warren Cemetery East Amherst, East Amherst, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.[1]
