Edward Adderley Stopford born 1810, son of Edward Stopford, Bishop of Meath.
He was educated by Mr Cassan and entered Trinity College Dublin on 3 July 1826, aged 16. B.A. 1832, M.a. 1855, LL.D. 1871. [1]
He was collated as Archdeacon of Meath on 9 March 1844. In 1848 he was appointed Vicar-General of the diocese.
Edward married Anna Catherine Duke, daughter of Robert King Duke of Newpark, county Sligo.

Will of Rev Edward Adderley Stopford late of 11 Adelaide rd Dublin, who died 21 Apr 1874 at same place proved at principal registry by oaths of Edward Adderly Stopford of 28 the Temple Dale st Liverpool and Jemmet Joseph Stopford of 11 Adelaide rd, two of the executors. [3]
His wife Anne died on 13 June 1891.
