Aubra E. Disney (June 13, 1913 - February 28, 2012)

Aubra Elizabeth Disney, age 98, of Marceline, Missouri died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Center, Marceline. Aubra was born at Triplett, Missouri on June 13, 1913 to Daniel and Della (Etley) Storm. She married Franklin Gail Disney on March 19, 1932 and he preceded her in death in 1996. Aubra had worked as a telephone operator at St. Margaret's Providence Hospital in Kansas City. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Laclede, Meadville, and Brookfield for many years, New Hope Baptist Fellowship in Marceline, had lived in Laclede for many years and was a Marceline resident for 30 years coming from Turner, Kansas. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Padgett, Marceline, three grandchildren, Jeanie Akins and Darrell, Lingo, MO; Vernon Padgett and Cheri, Marceline, MO; and Karen Robbins, Manhattan, KS; eight great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, John Daniel Disney, three brothers, and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline with Rev. Clyde Enyeart officiating. Burial will be in the Laclede Cemetery, Laclede, MO. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home in Marceline. Pallbearers will be Bill Stuart, Tim Rodgers, Don Paahlar, Tom Enderle, David Jenkins, and Roger Gulley. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Akins and Vernon Padgett. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Walsworth Community Center or New Hope Baptist Fellowship and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, Missouri 64658. ^[1]
