George Stote was born in New Forest, Hampshire, England.

The 1881 England and Wales Census shows George living with his parents and seven siblings in Pikes Hill, Lyndhurst, Hampshire, England.^[4] He was 16 years old and was working as Boots at a Hotel.

The 1901 England and Wales Census shows George living with his brother Henry (known as John) in Noyna Road, Streatham, Surrey, England.^[5] He was 36 years old and was working as a Tram Driver. His brother was working as a Tram Conductor.

George passed away in 1943 and was buried on 22 September of that year at Epsom Cemetery in Epsom, Surrey, England.^[6] He was 78 years old.
