Biography

Joshua is a mystery; Most Strangmans were from Waterford or Cork, and mostly Quaker, so good records. There are no records about Joshua save the graveyard transcription, but it may not be accurate (eg Thomas died 1865 not 1863). The only other Strangman who had Tipperary connections was Joshua Strangman b 1733 Tipperary, died 1812 Waterford, m Mary Handcock (who died 1783) The death dates for the 2 Joshuas are similar (a one year difference) and he could have had a second marriage/spouse. DNA might suggest an answer.
