Assenath (sometimes spelled Asenath) was born October 7, 1841 at Standon, Hertfordshire, England. Her father was William Stringer and her mother was Elizbeth Stringer (Also a Stringer before marriage). Assenath had two brothers and 5 sisters. She married Irving Henry Fisher in september of 1967. They moved to the United States soon after their marriage. They had five children.

Found in the 1880 - 1900 census Living in Pultneyville, Wayne County, New York.

Found in the 1910 census as head of the house. Her daughter Adelaide age 42 is living with her.
